Our first crossbred heifer by Blue Stone Union Jack, Smarty Pants, won the Crossbred Championship at the North West British Belgian Blue Club’s calf show. At the same time Pendle Amarillo, also one of Union Jack’s first calves, was led by Isabella when she won the Young Handlers competition at the same show.

Pendle Alice Springer another of Union Jack’s calves was awarded the Female and Reserve Overall Champion at the Border British Belgian Blue Club’s calf show in February.

Isabella leading Pendle Amarillo again won the Young Handler’s class.

In May Pendle Wave was judged the Breed Champion at the Great Harwood Show and Adalaide won the Reserve Champion Butchers Beast award.

Blue Stone Union Jack was Breed Champion at the Royal Lancashire Show and at the Great Harwood Show where he was also awarded the Reserve Interbreed Champion.

Smarty Pants was judged Champion of Champions at the Hodder Valley Show and Reserve Champion Butcher’s Beast at the Royal Lancashire Show. At the Country Side Live show she won the Belgian Blue Breed Championship.

It was very pleasing to hear that two of our herd progeny had achieved show successes for their new owners:

Pendle Valley was Breed Champion at the South of England Show and Pendle Australia won the Junior Bull Championships at The Royal Show and The Great Yorkshire Show.

Pendle Australia was sold by his new owners at the October Border Belgian Blue Club’s show and sale and achieved the top priced bull through the sale ring.
