2013 SHOW SEASON

The 2013 show season has been another tremendous success for the Pendle herd and its renowned handlers, Issy, Thomas and latterly Issy's friend Rachel.

The season is not yet over but the successes to date are mentioned below with more to be added.

GYS20Of note has to be PENDLE HEATHER, a naturally born home bred 17 month old heifer by Newton Blues Chico out of a home bred Bluestone Union Jack cow. She has been trained and looked after by Issy with commendable achievements so far. Her season stated at Goosnagh and Longridge show taking the Inter-breed Championship.

She moved on to the prestigious Great Yorkshire Show for her second outing where Issy won the Young Handler class for 16 to 20 year old handlers ahead of a very strong field of 25 competitors.

More recently HEATHER has moved on take the Reserve Champion ticket at Bingley and was crowned Interbreed Champion at the Trawden show.

 

HOCUSGYS20132PENDLE HOCUS POCUS, another young heifer, again naturally born out of our home bred cow Pendle Witch by Bluestone Union Jack, was partnered by Issy's friend Rachel at the Great Yorkshire show where she stood 3rd in a very strong class of young heifers at 16 months old, also enjoying many other show successes and has great potential for next year's showing season.

HOCUS POCUS is a full sister to Pendle Dazzle.
Dazzle was sold to High Ridge Blue and has won many shows for her new owners.

 

 

 

 

HEBOGYS2013Not to be over shadowed by the females on the show team PENDLE HEBO, a black 16 month old bull by Greystone Carbon out of a home bred Bluestone Union Jack cow, remains unbeaten at our local shows when shown by Thomas

 

 

 

 

ChippingP1120436The show season continues with sucess at the local shows for PENDLE HEATHER partnered with Issy. Chipping show saw HEATHER being placed at the top of the order, taking the Interbreed Championship.

 

KilnseyP1120475Kilnsey show was once again a success for HEATHER and Issy. Thomas and HEBO continue to be well placed at the shows.
